I am one of eight children, so by the time the youngest child was born, I was no stranger to a having a new baby in the house. However, his was the first birth I actually attended. I stayed with my mother through the entire labor and delivery. The joy I felt holding him for the first time and the love everyone in the room felt was indescribable. Even now, I have a special bond with him and a deepened understanding of the love a mother has for her child through the pregnancy and birth journey. From that moment forward, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this amazing, life changing experience. So, towards the end of high school, I decided to pursue midwifery. However, upon further research, I discovered doulas. I had never even heard of them before! The more digging I did, the more I felt drawn to supporting people emotionally and practically through the highs and lows of bringing their child into the world. In 2018, I completed my training with DONA International, and I recently started working with New Life.

In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful fiancé, working as a volunteer Bible teacher, and testing new recipes on my friends and family.

It would be my pleasure to help you feel empowered and supported as you welcome a precious new life into the world. I hope to meet you and get to know you and your unique story and share in the joy of this special time in your life.
