I was born and raised in El Paso, Tx and moved to Albuquerque in 1998. I came from a family of medical professionals and growing up around the profession I became very interested in the medical field starting at an early age. I attended the Silva Health Magnet HS in El Paso my freshman year and entered into the Career Enrichment Center LPN Nursing program, in Albuquerque, my Junior and Senior year of high school completing the program with my LPN Certificate at 18 years old.
After working as an LPN for five years I completed my Associates degree in Nursing at CNM in 2005. I immediately started working for Lovelace Women's Hospital in the Mother/Baby unit. After working in several different fields of nursing I knew I had found my passion in caring for moms and babies after delivery. During my 10 year course at Women's Hospital I also became oriented to caring for Antepartum patients, NICU babies, and obtained my IBCLC in 2014. My passion for this field of nursing has continued to grow and I am so excited to be working here at Dar a Luz Birth Center where I know I will continue to learn so much.
My husband and I have two girls that keep us very active. I am very grateful for their continued support in anything that I do. My family is what keeps me going.
