I grew up between the mountains of beautiful Taos, New Mexico, and the beaches of Maui, Hawaii. I am lucky to have been raised in an environment steeped in nature and infused with physical activity. Creativity and movement have always been central to my development and aspirations. As a child and teenager I was a dancer, gymnast, actor and performer. I went on to pursue a degree in fine arts and have continued my education in fashion design. After several years of consideration, in 2018 I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training certification at 3B here in Albuquerque.

Over the past eight years I have carried my yoga practice with me through many travels, life changes, loss, and uncertainty. In doing so, I developed a firm belief in yoga’s ability to heal the body and bring peace to the mind. I have learned that what begins as a simple physical practice may allow us to access a profound sense of grounding, stillness and power. I see yoga as a fundamental mode of self-care.

My experience with pre and postnatal yoga has only deepened my love for the practice. The first time I participated in a prenatal class, I was so moved by the tremendous strength and fierce vulnerability I observed in the participants. The class possessed a unique magic that I came to translate as: We are all in this together. It was then that I knew I had to continue showing up. I am grateful to participate in this community of incredible women through teaching yoga with New Life.
