I was born and raised in Waterford, Michigan, a small city about 30 miles North of Detroit. In 2011 I earned my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Baker College in Flint. Soon after graduation I left home to travel the country as an OT contractor. It didn't take long before I met my partner and fell in love. I became the spouse of an active duty Army linguist. Army life brought us here to Albuquerque where we decided to start a family. Our son, Elan Kai, was born on 12/29/15 and he tragically passed away on 12/14/16. I searched for solace in the arms of Yoga and was able to grasp it there. I completed my 200hr Yoga teacher training in March of 2017 with the Kula Collective and I am registered with The Yoga Alliance. I am a part of NLBS because this amazing community of birth professionals has lifted me up as a loss mom, a medical professional, and a yogini practicing loving kindness and I am dedicated to supporting your transition into parenthood.
