My journey with yoga and holistic health began in my late teens. I grew up in NYC where the noise of the city was hard to escape. This potent time in my life led me to study at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, a program that radically changed my world view and also led me to the Integral Yoga Center where I took my first yoga class. The chanting and asana brought me a sense of stillness and calm that I had never before experienced. Since then, I have been a devoted student of yoga which has helped bring balance into my life, both physically and emotionally. I began my teaching career in 2012 when I attended the 500 Hr Teacher Training program at High Desert Yoga. This was also the year I found out that I was pregnant with my first son. The training was an incredible foundation teaching me the value of practicing yoga from a therapeutic and alignment-based paradigm which I appreciated as I was already doing massage therapy. Becoming a teacher has woven a very colorful tapestry into my life, leading me to offer the deeply rewarding experience of yoga in ways I had never dreamed of. I began teaching yoga to kids after completing a Circus Yoga training that bridged the mindfulness of yoga with the creativity and community of circus. Shortly after, I started working with Moms, both during pregnancy and postpartum mom and baby yoga. I have worked with everyone from elders to families sharing offerings as diverse as mantra and meditation practice and restorative yoga.When I am not teaching I am working with individual clients to holistically address health concerns through health coaching, private yoga, traditional herbal medicine and Abdominal massage.
