My passion for birth work began as early as high school when I presented at a national speech competition about the need for holistic and evidence-based birth care to revitalize America’s damaged birth culture. As I got deeper into the birth world and started attending births, I saw the great variety of experiences and choices families and their birth teams make. I also saw the discrepancies in how birth education and informed consent can be treated. I wanted to help families and birthing people to feel well educated, well listened to, safe, and accomplished during the very vulnerable time of life that is pregnancy and birth.

I attended training to become a birth doula through DONA International in 2023 and became a fully certified DONA birth doula in March 2025. I volunteered as a birth doula with the UNMH birth companion program to ensure that doula services were reaching the populations that would most benefit from the support. This experience gave me the opportunity to train in trauma-informed approaches and in techniques to best integrate medical and non-medical (doulas and family) members of the birth team.

To be welcomed into a client's life and birth team during the transformative experiences of pregnancy and birth remains one of the greatest honors I will ever experience. My goal is always to bring joy, calm, and fulfillment to your birth spaces, provide evidence-based guidance, and empower families to advocate for the birth experiences right for them.

In my personal life, I am an avid crafter and reader. I enjoy making baby clothes for my clients and reviewing the endless pregnancy, baby sleep, and breastfeeding books out there. I enjoy the New Mexico nature by rock climbing, hiking, and skiing.

I am excited to get to know your family and would be honored to support you through such a vulnerable and special time in your life.
